Chemical bond non-woven interlining is typically easy to sew or fuse onto fabrics

Chemical bond non-woven interlining is a type of interfacing material used in sewing and fabric projects. It is designed to be easily attached to fabrics to provide added structure, support, and stability. There are two common methods for attaching chemical bond non-woven interlining to fabrics: sewing and fusing.

Sewing:
Chemical bond non-woven interlining is typically easy to sew onto fabrics. You can use a sewing machine or hand-sew it to your fabric. Here's how you can do it:
a. Cut the interlining to the desired size and shape to match your fabric piece.
b. Place the interlining on the wrong side (the side that won't be visible) of your fabric.
c. Pin or baste the interlining in place to prevent it from shifting while sewing.
d. Sew along the edges of the interlining, attaching it to the fabric. You can use a straight stitch, zigzag stitch, or any other suitable stitch depending on your project's requirements.
e. Trim any excess interlining if necessary.
Fusing:
Chemical bond non-woven interlining is also designed to be fusible, meaning it can be attached to fabric using heat and pressure. This method is convenient and often referred to as iron-on or fusible interfacing. Here are the steps:
a. Cut the interlining to the desired size and shape, matching your fabric piece.
b. Place the interlining with the adhesive side (the side with the chemical bonding agent) onto the wrong side of your fabric.
c. Use a hot iron set to the appropriate temperature (follow the interlining manufacturer's instructions) and press down on the fabric and interlining for a few seconds. Apply even pressure to ensure a secure bond.
d. Allow the fused fabric to cool and set before sewing or continuing with your project.
Chemical bond non-woven interlining is designed to be easy to work with, whether you choose to sew it onto your fabric or fuse it using an iron. The method you choose depends on your project's requirements and your personal preference for attaching interfacing to your fabrics. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions for the specific interlining you are using to ensure the best results.
